Fundraising

You’ve got it in you too.

Belfast volunteers and supporters regularly take part in various activities and events to raise money that helps to keep our branch open 24/7 throughout the year. 

Street collections

We make regular street collections in Belfast city centre and at Sprucefield in Lisburn. As well as this we do bag packing at various supermarkets around the city. 

Annual Sponsored walk

Each year in July we have our sponsored walk in Belfast city centre. This coincides with our movement wide 24/7 event to raise awareness of Samaritans and the issues faced by our callers. We are always grateful for the support and encouragement provided to us by members of the public along the way. Watch this space for details of the next walk.

Other Activities

This year our volunteers and their friends have supported our work and stretched themselves to the limit in many ways including Abseiling and long distance cycling in Cuba to raise money for the branch. We also are having a special corporate golf day on Friday 18th September 2009 at Shandon Park golf club.
